Cooking good, easy, cheap camping ...

Cooking good, easy, cheap camping ...
This is not because we sleep on the ground under a tent, that we must deny the pleasure of eating well! Karine Labarre, amateur mom camping behind the culinary blog Five Forks, gives us a few tips to eat well cheaply when you do stay outdoors.

For her, camping is an activity of choice for the family, because it is an inexpensive activity that can spend his days in the open air. Blogger particularly like is creative and easy to concoct tasty menus to be enjoyed under the stars. "There are simply way to eat well without putting kale or Espelette everywhere," she jokes.

So she does not hesitate to make a risotto on fire. The idea is not only delicious but easy: it only takes two cups of rice in a bag, a chicken stock cube and two frozen chicken breasts.

Admittedly Karine relies heavily on frozen foods. "My sealer becomes my best friend. A bag of frozen sauce spaghetti, it takes up less space in the cooler and it makes a great ice pack! Not to mention that there is no danger of it sinking. "She said. That remains is to cook pasta: from one stone!

Menu type of day

Lunch. French toast (better toast on a stove propane gas) and scrambled eggs.
Snack. Fruits! Many fruits do not need to be refrigerated to be good: apples, pears, oranges. Trip, slip a few granola bars in the backpack.
Dinner. Pasta salad with tuna. The trick: cook pasta in advance. Arriving at the campsite, there is always a way to get fresh vegetables at the corner kiosk: a tomato, basil, shallots, and voila. It accompanies all of canned tuna. Do not forget the can opener!
Supper. Pizza on fire. This invention Karine Labarre will delight young and old! To be consulted on the website of Five Forks.
Dessert. It's time to spoil making a trip to the canteen area for ice cream!
