Holiday camps resumed colors

Holiday camps

The summer camps for the benefit of children and youth contribute to their socialization, their learning autonomy and mobility.

They offer the opportunity to engage in leisure activities with peers of their age, or even to go with them for short stays.

These mini-vacations are a transition between the recreation center, part of everyday life, where we find the comrades of the district, and the departure in collective living, of longer duration, where the can forge new relationships.

Moreover, it is with this objective that parents are their children from collective living: for they learn to live with others, they discover other ways of living.

It is also a form of compensation for those who do not go on holiday in other countries. Recreational, educational, sporting and cultural activities, summer camps are designed to leave only good memories.

The rhythm of a festive daily

I must admit that stays in great majority are concentrated on the coast and affect much the pleasures of the sea, the beach mostly. The days are punctuated daily by a morning session and another in the afternoon, interspersed by a nap and an evening or themed evening.

In this context, 500 children, including 180 girls, from all the towns of Algiers left for two weeks at camp in Mostaganem, on the initiative of the department of management of the Youth, Sports and Recreation ( DJSL).

Accompanied by 70 supervisors and animators DJSL, these children of 8-14 years took the bus to the Place du 1er Mai in the municipality of Sidi M'hamed and traveled 340 km to reach the destination. Children will have a medical examination before settling in colonies in the municipalities of Sidi Lakhdar and El Hadjadj. They will begin just after their curriculum.

This program consists of boat trips in the morning, organizing animation workshops in the afternoon, as well as guided tours of Mostaganem in representative sites, including the capital of wilaya and mausoleum Sidi Lakhdar Benkhlouf, one of the patron saints of the city.

For summer 2015, the DJSL Algiers is the second and last step of organizing summer camps in Mostaganem, according Adimi Mourad, president of the wilaya league promotion of children's leisure activities.

The summer camp program has started after Ramadan. The 500 children will return to the capital tomorrow August 27, within ten days of the school year scheduled September 6.

These holidays have benefited all the municipalities of the capital with the application of the quota system: 250 children were taken in neighborhoods, including Ain Naâdja with a list drawn up by the municipality and 250 members chosen from structures dependent DJSL the (youth center, cultural center). In all, 1000 Algiers children 8-14 years old will have spent two weeks holiday in Mostaganem and 650 adolescents and adults (15-30 years) in Oran, Tlemcen and Bejaia.

A loophole for the disadvantaged

In addition, 450 children from poor families in 12 municipalities in the wilaya of Constantine benefited from summer camps in Jijel. They are divided into 5 sessions of 15 days each of which has 150 children aged between 6 and 13 years.

Initiated by the relevant ministry in coordination with the National Agency for Youth recreation (ANALJ), this operation will allow children to enjoy their school holidays and will contribute to happiness in this category allowing him to spend the summer holidays in more or less valid conditions.

300 children from poor families have already benefited from a stay in the wilayas of Algiers (Sidi Fredj) and Jijel (beach Tassoust) during the period from June 17 to July 16.

It is a way also to make them discover the charms of the country and make future tourists.

A break or a change of scenery increasingly required with the balance and health. For the government, this is a form of fight against precariousness and exclusion through the promotion of recreation. This formula mainly benefits the middle classes that are generally employed in domestic companies.?
