Miami and its surroundings by rental car

You plan to travel from Florida soon? Rent a car in Miami and explore Florida, it is possible! Natural splendor to beautiful beaches through the wildest attractions, Miami is full of most exciting one than the other sites.


First step: downtown
After taking charge of your rental car in Miami towards the city center to discover the aquarium and zoo. Monument hand, we do not miss the Coral Castle, Cape Florida Lighthouse and the Freedom Tower, three completely different sites but to better understand the diversity of the place.
Greater Miami is the seventh US and is characterized by very different neighborhoods each other: Little Havana and the Cuban colors, Art Deco District and its superb architectural collection Design District and its trendy boutiques ... there has something for everyone!

Step Two: Miami beaches
A 10 km from downtown Miami, is one of the most popular beaches in the city: South Beach, or SoBe for short. A long ribbon of fine sand stretches for kilometers here, surrounded by trendy bars and excellent restaurants. To discover the wilder side of Florida beaches towards the Keys, an archipelago of hundreds of islands connected by a road overlooking the ocean. The route of the Florida Keys is a must when visiting Miami and its surroundings by rental car. US Route One flies over the archipelago over 150 km across 42 bridges, it is the only road that can reach Key West.

Step Three: Fort Lauderdale
A twenty minute drive north of Miami, Fort Lauderdale is also known as the "Venice of America." Crossed by nearly 300 kilometers of canals and stunning mansions inhabited, the city is a haven of peace. Although very touristy, it remains an affordable resort and pleasant with a warm atmosphere.

Step Four: Everglades
Wheelchair few dozen kilometers south of Miami, you will come across the Everglades, a national park with many animal species and more than 1,300 species of plants. This gigantic swamp area is also home to alligators and crocodiles who let themselves see closely for a day of hiking on the Anhinga Trail or aboard an airboat. Everglades National Park is completely invaded by an immense mangrove covering the whole South Florida 80 kilometers wide and 200 kilometers long.

Step Five: Orlando
Whether traveling with family or not, enjoy the freedom provided by your rental car to explore Orlando, the world capital of theme parks. The city is located 375 kilometers north of Miami and home to some of the best amusement parks in the world. From the Magic Kingdom to SeaWorld via Discovery Cove is the place to go for fun!
