HomoToGo presents the results of its first barometer rates for vacation rentals in Europe. We discover that this is Greece, where prices were highest during summer 2015.
After analyzing almost a million job offers in 26 countries in Europe, HomeToGo establishes its first European Barometer vacation rentals.
We learn that it is in Greece that the rates are highest in summer 2015. During the season, we had to spend an average of € 910 for a one-week stay of 4 people.
Then come the Netherlands (€ 794), Italy (€ 785), Spain (€ 782) and the United Kingdom (€ 780).
Conversely, to spend cheap holiday this summer, we had instead turn to Hungary (€ 448), the Czech Republic (€ 489) and Ireland (€ 490).
The study also looks at HomeToGo cities. And, this is London (Great Britain), which was the most expensive this summer: € 1845.
The English capital is ahead of Amsterdam (€ 1545), Copenhagen (€ 1500), Zurich (€ 1275) and Paris (€ 1,200). Cheapest were Zagreb (€ 441), Toulouse (480 €) and Krakow (€ 494).
Seasonal pricesAccording to the Barometer, it is interesting to choose from in September. Indeed, prices are much more interesting than in the high season (July / August).
So on some destinations, the differences are important. This is the case in Norway (€ 238), Sweden (€ 228), the UK (€ 224), Luxembourg (218 €) and Italy (€ 210).
However, seasonality is not about many major European capitals. So what for resorts it's the opposite.
The price of homes in resorts like Brighton (Great Britain) and Rimini (Italy) lose an average of 29% after the high season.
Methodology:The study was conducted on a sample of 943 669 deals in 26 European countries. The cities, regions and European countries with the largest search volumes between 1 July 2015 and 30 September 2015 on HomeToGo.fr were selected.Data were collected on July 31, 2015 all offers indexed by the search engine HomeToGo the selected criteria.
