10 reasons to go to Barcelona

It's summer, it's nice, it's hot, and we fly towards the capital of Catalonia, partying, walk on La Rambla and tapas along the playa!


After our 10 reasons to go to London, Rome, Venice or New York, one starts this week in Barcelona and we give you our 10 reasons to spend a few days in the beautiful Spanish city, full of sun, colors, and tapas!

Because 1: Surveying the narrow streets lined with medieval buildings, beautiful quiet places, ancient ruins such as the Roman wall visible in some places, the Barri Gotic (Gothic Quarter), from shop to shop. It is the oldest district of Barcelona. Only shops and bars to date reminder to modern life.

Reason 2: Snacking on Boqueria market counters or Mercat de Sant Josep. The traditional market of La Rambla is the perfect place to detail the good products of Catalan cuisine ... and the opportunity to go to one of the pecking counters! 8. Picnic at Mirador del Turó de la Rovira
This large esplanade provides an overview 360 of the city! Deserted for "guiris" (Spanish slang tourists), many young people come here to picnic. For the record, it is in this "Mirador" (viewpoint), that took place one of the scenes of one of the teen-movies the best known in Spain: Twilight Love.

9- Make window shopping on the Passeig de Gràcia
This stylish way, where it was fashionable to appear in the 19th century, is an open modernist architecture air museum of the early 20th century, a movement close to the French Art Nouveau, characterized by sinuous lines, decorations with stained glass and ceramic mosaics, and the use of metal.

10- reading a book at the public library Rossend Arús
Completely free, this place is magical and offers you a trip to the Spanish literature, but also a direct connection to New York because at the entrance to the library, there is an original 19th century reproduction of the Statue of Liberty which measures 2 meters high.
